Qu'est-ce que « Consumer group » ?

Definition 24.4 Research, Data and Risk Platforms · Chapitre 24 — Messaging and Event-Driven Architecture

A consumer group is a set of consumer processes that share a topic’s partitions, each partition read by exactly one member at a time, with one committed offset per partition for the whole group; when members join or leave, the partitions are reassigned (a rebalance).

A topic of four partitions, each an append-only sequence of messages addressed by offset, and a consumer group of two members that share them. The group commits one offset per partition (red): the position from which a member resumes after a restart or a rebalance.
