CoachNamed-entity recognition finds the spans of a text that name entities (companies, people, places, products) and their types. Entity linking maps each recognised span to one identifier in a knowledge base; for a trading firm, to a permanent identifier in the security master (Book 7, chapter 4) as of the document’s date.
