What is Specialty-occupation visa, skilled-worker visa?

A specialty-occupation visa is a US temporary work status (H-1B) for jobs requiring at least a bachelor’s degree in a specific field, sponsored by an employer who files a labour condition application (chapter 14). A skilled-worker visa is the United Kingdom’s sponsored work route, for a job at a required skill level paid at least a salary threshold.
