CoachPrograms use virtual addresses, translated to physical addresses through page tables. The translation lookaside buffer (TLB) caches recent translations; a TLB miss makes the processor walk the page tables, several dependent memory accesses. A huge page is a page larger than the base 4 KiB (2 MiB or 1 GiB on x86-64), which one TLB entry covers.
