What is Quadratic function?

Definition 10.1 High School Mathematics · Chapter 10 — Quadratic Functions and Equations

A quadratic function is a function of the form

f(x)=ax2+bx+c,a≠0,f(x) = ax^2 + bx + c, \qquad a \neq 0,

where aa, bb, cc are real numbers. The expression ax2+bx+cax^2 + bx + c is also called a quadratic trinomial.
