什么是 Momentum?

Definition 25.1 High School Physics · 第 25 章 — Newton’s Laws

The momentum of a body of mass mm (kg\mathrm{kg}) moving with velocity v→\vect v is the vector

p→=mv→(kg m/s):\vect p = m \vect v \qquad (\mathrm{kg}\,\mathrm{m}/\mathrm{s}):

the velocity, weighted by the mass; for a system, the vector sum over its parts.

示例

Example 25.7 (Average force, no details needed)

A 1300 kg1300\,\mathrm{kg} car goes from rest to 100 km/h100\,\mathrm{km}/\mathrm{h} (27.8 m/s27.8\,\mathrm{m}/\mathrm{s}) in 8.0 s8.0\,\mathrm{s}: whatever the instant-by-instant story, the average net force is Δp/Δt=1300×27.8/8.0≈4.5×103 N\Delta p/\Delta t = 1300 \times 27.8/8.0 \approx 4.5 \times 10^{3}\,\mathrm{N} — momentum turns a force question into before-and-after bookkeeping.
