什么是 Observation?

又称: observe

Definition 1.5 Primary & Middle School Physics · 第 1 章 — Observing the World: The Five Senses

To observe is to use the senses carefully, on purpose, to answer a question — and then to say or draw exactly what was noticed, not what was expected. An observation is what careful watching found out.

Observing a ladybug: careful eyes count 4 spots on this one — and always 6 legs.

示例

Example 1.7 (Precise words)

Compare “the stone is nice” with “the stone is gray, smooth, round, and colder than my hand”. The second sentence is an observation: another child can pick that stone out of a whole basket.
