What is Fill intensity?

Definition 3.1 Market Making and High-Frequency Trading · Chapter 3 — Inventory Models

The fill intensity of a resting quote is the rate at which it is executed, as a function of its depth δ\delta from the mid. The inventory models assume λ(δ)=A e−kδ\lambda(\delta)=A\,e^{-k\delta}, the same on both sides, with AA and kk constant (local symbols: AA is not an annuity and kk not a log-moneyness here).
