ما معنى Index point, mini and micro contracts؟

يُعرف أيضًا باسم: index point · mini contract · micro contract

Definition 22.1 Markets I: The Ecosystem and Exchange-Traded Markets · الفصل 22 — Equity Index and Single-Stock Futures Worldwide

An index point is one unit of the quoted index; a contract’s multiplier gives the point its value in money. A mini contract or micro contract is a version of an existing future with a multiplier cut, typically to a fifth or a tenth, and then to a tenth again, so that the same market can be traded in smaller size; minis often end up far more liquid than the contracts they were cut from.

Futures and options traded on exchanges in 2025, by region, in number of contracts: 119.3 billion in all, 42% fewer than in 2024. A contract is not a unit of risk: one of them can be worth $300 000 and another a few hundred dollars. Data: the industry association’s annual statistics.
