CoachA millimetre-wave link is a radio link at frequencies of about 30 to 300 GHz (wavelengths of 10 to 1 millimetres), with wide channels and short hops. A free-space optical link (FSO) carries data on a laser beam through the air between two terminals; fog and heavy rain block it, and it needs a clear, stable line of sight.
