什么是 Cone of depression?

Definition 23.13 University Earth and Space Sciences — Year 3 · 第 23 章 — Hydrogeology

The cone of depression of a pumped well is the depression of the water table, or of the potentiometric surface, round the well; the gradient steepens towards the well, through which all the water must pass.

The Theis cone of the Varden-3 well (Q = 2160\, m3/ d, T = 450\, m2/ d, S = 2 × 10-4), drawdown plotted downward. Left, after 1, 10 and 100 days: the cone deepens by the same amount for every tenfold time and widens without limit in an infinite aquifer. Right, two such wells 400\, m apart after 10 days: the drawdowns add, 5.5\, m midway between them instead of 2.7\, m for one well.
