什么是 Contact aureole and its rocks?

又称: chilled margin · contact aureole · hornfels · skarn

Definition 5.13 University Earth and Space Sciences — Year 2 · 第 5 章 — Magmas and Their Emplacement

A chilled margin is the fine-grained or glassy rim of an intrusion, where the magma cooled quickly against colder host rock. A contact aureole is the zone of host rock around an intrusion that was metamorphosed by its heat. Hornfels is the hard, fine-grained, non-foliated rock that mudstones and volcanic rocks become in a contact aureole. Skarn is the rock formed where hot magmatic fluids react with carbonate host rock, depositing calcium–iron–magnesium silicates such as garnet and pyroxene, often with magnetite and metal sulfides.
