Daily-mean insolation কী?

Definition 27.1 University Earth and Space Sciences — Year 1 · অধ্যায় 27 — Radiation and Heat Transport

The daily-mean insolation Qˉ\bar Q at a latitude on a given day is the instantaneous insolation averaged over the 24 hours of that day, nights included, the declination of the Sun and its distance being held at their values for the day. It is a power per square metre of horizontal surface at the top of the atmosphere, in W m−2\mathrm{W}\,\mathrm{m}^{-2}.

Daily-mean insolation at the top of the atmosphere against the day of the year and the latitude, from with S_0 = 1361\, W\, m-2 and the Earth’s orbit. Dashed: the subsolar latitude, equal to the declination; solid: the edges of the polar nights. The summer poles receive more than any other place on the Earth; the southern summer, near perihelion, is the brighter of the two.

Daily-mean insolation against latitude at the two solstices, and its annual mean (black). The annual mean exceeds the global mean, 340.3\, W\, m-2 (dashed), between 37 S and 37 N, on 60\,\% of the Earth’s surface.
