A Gibbs energy–composition diagram plots, at fixed temperature and pressure, the molar Gibbs energy of each phase of a system against its composition. The stable assemblage of any bulk composition lies on the lower convex hull of the curves: a single phase where its curve is on the hull, two phases at the ends of a common tangent.
