什么是 Magnetic inclination?

Definition 4.2 University Earth and Space Sciences — Year 3 · 第 4 章 — Geomagnetism and Palaeomagnetism

The magnetic inclination II of the field at a point is the angle between the field vector and the horizontal plane, positive when the field points downwards: tan⁡I=Z/H\tan I = Z/H, with −90∘≤I≤90∘-90{}^{\circ} \le I \le 90{}^{\circ}.

The elements of the field at a point: north X, east Y and down Z components, the horizontal component H, the total field F, the magnetic declination D (in the horizontal plane, grey) and the inclination I (in the vertical plane that contains F).
The elements of the field at a point: north XX, east YY and down ZZ components, the horizontal component H\mathbf H, the total field F\mathbf F, the magnetic declination DD (in the horizontal plane, grey) and the inclination II (in the vertical plane that contains F\mathbf F).
