什么是 Rare earth elements?

又称: rare earth element

Definition 3.11 University Earth and Space Sciences — Year 2 · 第 3 章 — Elements in the Earth

The rare earth elements (REE) are the fifteen lanthanides, from lanthanum to lutetium; promethium has no stable isotope. All are lithophile and refractory, nearly all trivalent, and their ionic radius shrinks steadily from lanthanum to lutetium; europium can also be divalent in reduced melts.

Mineral–melt partition coefficients of the rare earths for clinopyroxene, garnet and a mix of olivine, orthopyroxene and spinel, and the bulk coefficient of a garnet pyroxenite of 65 per cent clinopyroxene, 18 per cent garnet and 17 per cent of the other minerals (Proposition above). Garnet makes the heavy rare earths compatible. Data: Budahn (1991).
