什么是 Solvus, exsolution?

又称: solvus · exsolution (mineral)

Definition 11.9 University Earth and Space Sciences — Year 3 · 第 11 章 — Thermodynamics of Rocks

The solvus is the curve, in the temperature–composition plane, that bounds the miscibility gap of a solid solution: below it, a single crystal of intermediate composition is unstable and splits into two. Exsolution (mineral) is that splitting within a crystal on cooling: lamellae of one composition grow in a host of the other.

A regular solution with W = 20\, kJ\, mol-1 (illustrative). (a) Gibbs energy of mixing at three temperatures; at 900\, K the common tangent (thin line) touches the curve at x = 0.11 and 0.89. (b) The solvus and the spinodal; a rock of bulk composition X_0 = 0.3 (vertical red line) is one phase above 1136\, K and two phases below, whose compositions follow the solvus (dashed).
