What is Tsunami run-up?

Definition 28.10 University Earth and Space Sciences — Year 2 · Chapter 28 — Geological Hazards and Risk

The tsunami run-up at a point of the coast is the height, above the sea level at the time, of the highest ground that the water reaches inland there. The horizontal distance from the shoreline to that point is the inundation distance.
