什么是 Atmospheric window?

Definition 2.1 University Earth and Space Sciences — Year 1 · 第 2 章 — Telescopes, Detectors and Photometry

An atmospheric window is a range of wavelengths in which the atmosphere transmits most of the radiation that reaches its top down to the ground. The optical window extends from the near ultraviolet to the near infrared; the radio window from wavelengths of about a centimetre to about ten metres.

The opacity of the atmosphere to radiation arriving from space, from 0.1\, nm to 1\, km (logarithmic scale). Schematic, after a public-domain NASA figure: only the windows matter here, not the exact shape of each absorption band. J, H and K mark the near-infrared photometric bands.
