Half-space cooling model কী?

The half-space cooling model of the oceanic lithosphere takes each column as a half-space $z \ge 0$ of uniform diffusivity, at the uniform temperature $T_m$ of the mantle when it leaves the ridge axis, whose surface is held from then on at the temperature $T_0$ of the sea floor, with no heat production and no bottom.
