什么是 Principal stresses, differential stress?

又称: principal stresses · differential stress

Definition 16.4 University Earth and Space Sciences — Year 1 · 第 16 章 — Stress, Strain and Rheology

The principal stresses at a point are the normal stresses σ1≥σ3\sigma_1 \ge \sigma_3 on the two planes free of shear stress, and their directions are the principal directions. In three dimensions there are three, σ1≥σ2≥σ3\sigma_1 \ge \sigma_2 \ge \sigma_3, on three perpendicular planes. The differential stress is σ1−σ3\sigma_1 - \sigma_3, and the mean stress in the plane is (σ1+σ3)/2(\sigma_1+\sigma_3)/2.
