什么是 Seismic wavelet, Ricker wavelet?

又称: seismic wavelet · Ricker wavelet

Definition 2.3 University Earth and Space Sciences — Year 3 · 第 2 章 — Exploration Seismology

A seismic wavelet is the short pulse, a few tens of milliseconds long, that a source and the recording system send through the ground; each reflector returns a scaled copy of it. The Ricker wavelet of peak frequency ff is the zero-phase pulse

w(t)=(1−2π2f2t2)e−π2f2t2,w(t) = \left(1 - 2\pi^2f^2t^2\right)e^{-\pi^2f^2t^2},

the second derivative of a Gaussian, up to sign and scale: a central peak and two side lobes, with zero mean and an amplitude spectrum peaking at ff.
