什么是 Uplift?

Definition 31.1 Primary & Middle School Earth and Space Sciences · 第 31 章 — Landforms

Uplift is the slow rise of the rocks and the ground surface of a region, driven by forces inside the Earth, such as the collision of two plates.

The relief as a balance (a sketch, not to scale). Uplift raises the rocks; erosion carries them away to the valleys and the sea. A range keeps growing as long as uplift wins; when the plates stop pushing, erosion slowly wears it down to hills.
