什么是 Wind stress?

Definition 29.1 University Earth and Space Sciences — Year 1 · 第 29 章 — The Circulation of the Ocean

The wind stress T⃗\vec T is the horizontal force per unit area exerted by the wind on the sea surface, in pascals. It is the downward transfer of the horizontal momentum of the air into the ocean, and points nearly along the wind. Its size is given by the bulk formula

T=ρaCDU102,T = \rho_a C_D U_{10}^2,

where ρa=1.3 kg m−3\rho_a = 1.3\,\mathrm{kg}\,\mathrm{m}^{-3} is the density of air, U10U_{10} the wind speed 10 m10\,\mathrm{m} above the sea and CDC_D a dimensionless drag coefficient.
