(\ell_1 \wedge \dots \wedge \ell_k)(v_1, \dots, v_k) = \det\bigl(\ell_i(v_j)\bigr)_{1 \leq i, j \leq k} .

Alternation and multilinearity are those of the determinant in its columns.
